The condition of a man who sustained serious injuries when he was stabbed in the city street has improved.
The 33-year-old was found injured in Layton Road, off Uppingham Road, Leicester, at 8.30pm on Friday.
He remained in a critical condition over the weekend but his health is now improving, say police.
Officers believe an hour earlier a group of men may have been involved in an argument in the branch of William Hill in Uppingham Road.
