Leicestershire Police and the majority of forces must improve their understanding of honour-based violence, according to a report.
Her Majesty's Inspectorate of Constabulary, (HMIC), found only a handful of forces in England and Wales fully prepared to tackle abuse linked to religion or culture, including practices such as forced marriage and female genital mutilation.
The conclusions are contained in a report issued today.
