A man who twice glassed a victim in the face causing wounds needing 32 stitches has been sentenced to three-and-a-half years' detention.
Thomas Amos (20) claimed the "red mist" descended and he lashed out instinctively after mistakenly thinking his mother had been assaulted.
At Leicester Crown Court, he admitted wounding with intent to inflict grievous bodily harm, on May 3 last year.
