A drunken man who head-butted a woman and punched her boyfriend in a pub altercation was given a suspended jail sentence.
Victim, Michelle Holden, had a lump on her head, and her partner, Alistair Watson, suffered cuts, bruising and a chipped tooth.
Both have been left shocked following the assaults by Ashley Petch, and curtailed their socialising.
The incident happened in the Bulls Head, Countesthorpe, when they were out with family and friends on Boxing Day night.
