Police say witnesses who saw robbers raid a Barwell supermarket believe one of them was carrying a handgun.
Officers were called to the centre of the village at 6.25am today following reports that two masked men had entered the Top Town shop.
Cash was stolen from the shop.
Two people inside the shop were attacked and sustained minor injuries in the robbery.
