Arrests following a day of violence nearly two years ago are set to result in two trials that will continue until 2018.At Leicester Crown Court yesterday 23 defendants charged in relation to two mass brawls on April 30, 2015, appeared at a preliminary hearing.The court heard that the Crown Prosecution Service intends to split the case into two trials - one lasting up to 10 weeks and the second lasting up to eight weeks.The second trial is expected to take place in early 2018.
