A callous thief who stole a Poppy Appeal collection tin from a newsagents has been jailed for more than six months.
Jamie Orchard made off with the tin containing cash after pretending to donate money.
The incident took place at Radhas Newsagents, on the corner of Russell Street and Moor Lane in Loughborough, at around 8.30pm on Friday, October 28, this year.
