A 62-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of trying to take a seven-month-old baby girl from her mother.
The suspect was arrested this afternoon, in Leicester, in connection with an incident at a second-floor flat in Junior Street, in the city centre.
A police spokesman the woman was arrested on "on suspicion of attempting to take a child so as to remove him or her from a person having lawful control".
She is currently in police custody.
