Leicestershire Police has announced the date on which it will begin the process of recruiting new officers.
Applicants will be able to apply to join the force from Monday, October 10.
The force has slashed its budget by tens of millions of pounds in the past few years and lost hundreds of officers, chiefly to retirement, to stay in line with Government spending reductions.
However, it confirmed last month that it is to bring in new recruits.
