Thieves left empty handed after breaking into a tea rooms and attempting to steal a cash machine.
The overnight raid took place at The Post Office Tea Rooms, in Bradgate Road, Newtown Linford, by Bradgate Park.
It happened sometime between 8.30pm yesterday and 6am today.
A police spokeswoman said: "The ATM machine was attacked and an attempt was made to enter the machine."Nothing was stolen during the incident."
