A mentally ill attacker bit part of a man's ear off and spat it out on the floor during a daytime assault in Leicester city centre, a court heard.
Aldermuoy Romeo, 23, was unfit to enter a plea or to stand trial in the usual way - but a jury concluded he committed "the act" of wounding with intent.
The victim, Damminie Powell, who knew Romeo, had to have his ear lobe surgically stitched back on.
