Thieves have stripped £20,000 worth of lead from the roof of a 14th century church in the county.The gang are believed to have struck at St Andrew's in Welham near Market Harborough over a weekend.Some metal scraps were found on the grass by the church and the community managed to fit a watertight covering within three hours.However there was a downpour and the grade two listed building suffered some rain damage.A total of 20 Leicestershire churches have been targeted in the past year,...
