A man who was allegedly assaulted outside a city pub at the weekend has died in hospital.Steven McKinnon, 44, was discovered outside The Durham Ox, in Catherine Street, Belgrave, at 2am on Saturday.He had suffered serious head injuries and was taken to hospital, where he was said to be in a critical condition.Leicestershire Police announced this afternoon that Mr McKinnon had lost his fight for life.Two men appeared before magistrates in the city to face assault charges this morning.
