A young couple thought to be from Leicester were killed in a road crash on the A46 last night.
The man and woman, who are understood to have been engaged, were killed when their car was involved in a collision with a van near the Leicestershire border with Nottinghamshire.
The collision happened at 10.35pm on the southbound carriageway, south of the A606 island, police said.
