Wheelie-bins are the latest tool to be used to encourage speeding drivers to slow down.
A joint campaign by the police, councils and the Leicestershire and Rutland Road Safety Partnership will see large 30 and 40mph speed limit stickers placed on the side of bins.
That means on rubbish collection days there could be thousands of roadside reminders to drivers to take their foot off the gas.
