A motorist was declared dead at the scene of a crash on a country road this morning.
A member of the public called police to the scene of the crash at 11.30am in Manton Road, between Manton and Edith Weston, in Rutland.
The man was driving a white Vauxhall Corsa. No other vehicles were involved.
Police and the ambulance service attended and the driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
The road was closed between Manton and Edith Weston while officers examined the scene.
