UPDATE: The road re-opened shortly after 4.30pm.A pedestrian has been airlifted to hospital after a collision in Leicester this afternoon.
The injured person was involved in a collision with a vehicle in Regent Road, near Leicester's De Montfort Hall at 2.15pm.
They have been taken to hospital in Coventry. The extent of their injuries was not immediately available.
