A victim had a knife pressed against his neck as six men robbed him in his own home, a court heard.
One of the robbers, Steven Maughan, who was formerly friends with the resident, was jailed for three years.
He pleaded guilty to carrying out the offence on the morning of July 26 last year.
Leicester Crown Court was told that the victim, who lived in Rockingham Close, Crown Hills, in the city, was awoken by his door buzzer at 6.30am.
