A 33-year-old man is critically ill in hospital after being stabbed yesterday evening.
Police were called to Layton Road, off Uppingham Road, in Leicester at about 8.30pm after the victim was found injured in the road.
He was taken to hospital where he remains in a "critical condition", police said.
Officers believe that a group of black men may have been involved in an altercation in William Hill Bookmakers in Uppingham Road around 7.30pm, which then continued outside.
