Youths have been accused of endangering lives by throwing fireworks at people in the street of a county town.
Police have condemned the "ludicrous and mindless" actions which could have "burned, blinded or worse".
The incidents occurred in the centre of Market Harborough on Friday night.
Police were alerted by several reports from people affected by the incidents.
Officers searched the town centre but the youths got away.
