Police are investigating a robbery in Ashby last night, which has left one of the suspects in a critical condition.
A number of men entered a shop in Market Street, and threatened members of staff and demanded cash.
Members of the public, who were in the shop at the time, managed to apprehend one of the suspects.
The others made off in a vehicle which was waiting outside.
Officers attended the incident and during the arrest, the suspect took ill.
