A street was closed off earlier today as police negotiated with a man who was threatening to harm himself.Officers were called to Sandown Road, off London Road, Stoneygate, Leicester at 1pm today and the man was detained for his own safety a short time later.Police stressed the man was not arrested and that he was not thought to be injured.A section of Sandown Road was closed for the duration of the operation.Read More: The man behind the giant LCFC mural: 'You don't have to be a Leicester fan...
