The police investigation into the murder of Alice Ruggles is to be re-told in an ITV documentary with Sir Trevor McDonald.
Lance Corporal Trimaan 'Harry' Dhillon was jailed for life with a minimum of 22 years after he was convicted of murdering Alice - his ex-girlfriend - in a jealous rage.
Alice, 24, formerly of Tur Langton, near Market Harborough, was found with fatal stab wounds at her flat in Rawling Road, in Bensham, Gateshead, in October last year.
