A 20-year-old man is in a critical condition after being assaulted in Leicester.
Police were called to Cropthorne Avenue, Evington, at around 12.50pm yesterday afternoon by a member of the public reporting that a man had been assaulted.
Officers attended and the man was taken to the Leicester Royal Infirmary for treatment to "an injury believed to have been caused by a bladed weapon", said Leicestershire Police.
