An 18-year-old man arrested on suspicion of actual bodily harm has been released from custody pending further inquiries.
The man was arrested following an incident in Belvoir Street, in Leicester in the early hours of Sunday morning when a BMW collided with pedestrian, Kasper Kummer at around 1.40am.
Dramatic footage of the incident was captured by passersby on their mobile phones.
