A polite note to burglars has succeeded in deterring break-ins at the Salvation Army headquarters in New Parks, Leicester.In early December there were two attempted break-ins within just over a week.No one got into the building but the front and side doors were vandalised so badly they have been out of action since.Major Anita Purkiss said the damage would likely cost thousands of pounds to repair and that not being able to use the front entrance has made life hard for people with wheelchairs...
