A 41-year-old man has been charged in connection with a series of robberies at shops in Melton.
Neil Gordon, of New Street, Melton, is due to appear at Leicester Magistrates Court today charged with a total of eleven offences – including robbery and possession of an offensive weapon.
They relate to a robbery at a post office in Craven Street last Wednesday.
A 42-year-old-woman has also been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery and released on police bail.
