A man who was assaulted in Ashby town centre at the weekend remains critically ill in hospital.
The man, whose details have not been released, suffered serious head injuries when he was attacked in Market Street, in the early hours of yesterday.
Four men have been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm.
All four have been released on bail, Leicestershire Police said this afternoon.
Officers were called to the scene at 2.40am on Sunday.
