A man has appeared in court charged with murdering a 35-year-old woman.
Baldeep Singh (38), of Dovedale Road, Thurmaston, did not enter a plea when he appeared at Leicester Magistrates' Court this morning.
He is charged in connection with the death of Amandeep Kaur, whose body was found in a house in Dovedale Road on Friday afternoon.
Singh spoke only to confirm his name, address and date of birth, which he did through a Punjabi translator.
