Thieves have broken into a museum in Melton.
The burglary took place at the Melton Carnegie Museum, in the town's Thorpe End, under the cover of darkness at the weekend.
An investigation has begun into the break-in, which happened at about 11pm on Saturday.
A police spokesman said: "Officers were called to the museum following an alarm activation."It is believed that entry was gained through a skylight."Nothing appears to have been taken."
