A drug user who obtained £1,500 using a stolen bank card was caught after a police appeal with his picture was circulated.
Henry Smith (33), who was jailed for 16 months, pleaded guilty to handling the card on October 9, after it was stolen during a house burglary in Leicester.
Siward James-Moore, prosecuting, told the city's crown court that the Bank of Ireland debit card was used three times.
