A machete has been handed in during the first week of Leicestershire Police's knife amnesty.
The weapon was dropped into Beaumont Leys police station earlier this week.
The force launched the amnesty last Thursday as part of its ongoing Lives Not Knives campaign to reduce knife crime in the city.
It allows people to deposit knives and other bladed weapons in sealed bins at six city police stations without fear of arrest.
The amnesty will run for four weeks.
