A jury today found Ameen Jogee guilty of manslaughter in the case of ex-officer Paul Fyfe in Leicester five years ago.
The jury at Nottingham Crown Court had last week cleared 27-year-old Jogee of murder.
Mr Fyfe, 47, was stabbed to death in his girlfriend's home in Leicester four years ago.
Previously, Jogee was found guilty of murdering Mr Fyfe even though the fatal blow was delivered by a second man, Mohammed Adnam Hirsi.
