Detectives are investigating a woman's claim that a stranger held a knife to her back.
The victim reported being approached from behind by a man as she walked along Farnham Road, in Loughborough, yesterday evening.
A police spokesman said: "He held what the victim believed to be a knife against her back."No one was injured."
The incident happened at about 11pm on Saturday.
The suspect is described as around 6ft tall and of a medium build.
