Stephen Beadman has gone on trial for the false imprisonment of 15-year-old Kayleigh Haywood of Measham.
The 29-year-old defendant, of George Avenue, Ibstock, has already admitted raping and murdering the teenager.
His next-door neighbour Luke Harlow, (27) has also pleaded not guilty to falsely imprisoning Kayleigh in the hours before her murder in November last year. He has admitted grooming Kayleigh online and two counts of sexual activity with her.
